Though meditation is usually recognized as a largely spiritual practice, it also has many health benefits. For the purpose of our treatment approach we utilize mindfulness and meditation to increase awareness in the present moment, strengthen pre-forntal / higher order awareness, and for increasing integration. Stress decreases integration throughout the brain body and nervous system. Holistic wellness practices such as meditation, mindfulness and stress management techniques can increase integration.
